Nihon Kikai Seizou (日本機械製造, lit. Japan Machine Manufacturing Inc.[2][3][4]) was a successor to the manufacturing arm of Service Games, Japan, incorporated on the same day as Nihon Goraku Bussan (the distribution arm) in Japan. Nihon Kikai Seizou traded as Sega Inc.[5][6][7][8][9], the "Sega"[10][7][8][9] name being adopted from Service Games products.

Despite originally being split in 1960, Nihon Goraku Bussan would acquire Nihon Kikai Seizo in June 1964.
